Standing up under scrutiny
Once a vehicle has been selected for certification, it must undergo an extensive inspection process by a BMW trained Technician. All systems and components, varying from the engine performance to the operation of the glove box, are reviewed. Vigilant attention is given to all safety related items including the tire tread depth, seat belt functionality and operation of the brake lights. Everything must work according to BMW specifications and all scheduled maintenance is brought up to date as well.
Afterwards, the vehicle is road-tested to assure that its performance is everything a BMW owner would expect. Anything that appears broken or outside guidelines is fixed and if the issue cannot be resolved, then the vehicle does not qualify to be a Certified Pre-Owned BMW.
The vehicle's history is even inspected
Finally, every Certified Pre-Owned BMW receives a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report providing peace of mind that your new vehicle has an unblemished record at the time of certification. The security of being reassured by a CARFAX Report is unequivocal and along with the fact that your vehicle is Certified by BMW, you will never have reason to worry.

Coverage for up to 6 years or 100,000 miles
When you acquire a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) BMW, your vehicle will be covered by a 2-year/50,000-mile CPO BMW Limited Warranty that takes the place of the original 4-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty when it expires.*Â The CPO Limited Warranty covers a wide range of vehicle components including the engine, power train, electrical system, climate control and more.**Â It is administered by BMW of North America, LLC, which ensures that covered repairs will be prepared by BMW trained technicians using only BMW original parts.
* The Certified Pre-Owned BMW Limited Warranty provides coverage for up to 2 years or 50,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date of the expiration of the 4-year/50,000-mile (whichever comes first) BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
