The BMW 5 Series has long been one of the most iconic BMW models, and the new i5 looks to continue that legacy. The four-door, five-seat luxury sedan packs all the luxury touches you expect. Heated and ventilated seats both up front and in the rear deliver comfort whether you're doing the driving or you've got someone else in charge. And with a power-sliding panoramic moonroof and four-zone automatic climate control, comfort is standard with the new BMW i5.
Of course, this 5 Series BMW EV doesn't have a combustion engine, so power delivery is a smooth and seamless as ever before. There are two performance options on the way for this new BMW EV, starting with the eDrive40. Here, an 84-kWh battery delivers 335 horsepower through the rear wheels. Meanwhile, the spicy BMW i5 M60 xDrive adds all-wheel drive via a second motor up front. This also bumps power up to 590 horsepower, getting the boisterous 5 Series to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
