The all-new BMW i5 is the first-ever BMW 5 Series electric vehicle, and it comes with an explosive level of EV performance beneath our most versatile luxury platform. Delivering 335 horsepower with the single-motor, rear-drive eDrive40, and up to 590 horsepower from the all-wheel drive M60 xDrive, the 2024 BMW i5 makes going electric truly electrifying.
Redesigned BMW 5 Series Models Coming to Denver for 2024
If you're not into EVs, that's not a problem. The rest of the 2024 BMW 5 Series lineup has gotten an overhaul as well. A new design skips on the oversized kidney grilles, instead offering a sharper, less brash set reminiscent of BMW's heritage. In addition, the dual LED headlight motif sticks around, and the roofline sweeps further toward the rear to offer more athletic proportions.
The new 5 Series is still powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine offering 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. And in the more-powerful 540i, a turbocharged inline-six churns out 375 horsepower. Both models come standard with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and can be had with either rear-wheel drive or xDrive, the latter of which is perfect for Colorado.
