BMW’s offering of crossovers, Sport Activity Vehicles (SAVs), and SUVs will soon be growing by one member, with the addition of the BMW Concept X2 debuting at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The newest member of the BMW X Family breaks with convention in fantastic ways, giving drivers a fun, sporty drive without losing the functionality of a crossover or SUV. It’s unlike anything we’ve seen here at Murray BMW of Denver, and we’re very excited to watch it come to production!

The BMW X2 certainly makes an introduction upon first appearance, bearing elements of the BMW X1, like a long wheelbase, stretched roofline, giving it an athletic stance and sporty, low-slung manner. Like it’s bigger siblings in the X Series lineup, the X2 is for folks who want that pleasure of driving without sacrificing the utility of a larger, more capable vehicle. Welcome to the best of both worlds.

“The BMW Concept X2 is a vehicle for active people looking for a combination of enjoyment and practicality,” explains Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design. “The concept displays a new and exciting facet of the BMW brand within the compact segment.” —from a 9.29.16 BMW Press Group press release

The BMW Concept X2 is rumored to be set for production later in 2017, so we’ve still got a little bit of time to whittle away before we can climb behind the wheel of this one, but if you’re on the hunt for a vehicle that satisfies that primal urge for speed and performance, all while delivering big on safety, tech, and every creature comfort imaginable, there’s only one place to look to find it all, the BMW lineup, found right here in our Glendale, CO showroom.
